Mommy's Dilemma..Please Help

Danial is currently going to Sm@rt Re@der near my house area.
The school is okay, he loves it very much, in fact whenever he was absent from school he is always looking forward to go again.

The only thing that the school is lack is Isl@mic basic studies, you know things like perform solat, iqra' and recite doa. I know I should teach him myself (mommy is very busy at the moment) but I feel if he goes to Islamic school then he will be exposed and easier for me to brush up later...

But I seriously do not want to be a kiasu mommy, where I transfer my son to other school just because I think it is GOOD for him. (I have yet to see the new islamic centre myself anyway). I want him to be happy and I know that being happy for danial is to stick to the current school since he has his own friends, he loves the environment over there, and the teachers are okay too.

One of the alternative is to get ustad/ustazah to come over to my house and teach him maybe weekly or 2/3 times a week.

Please do give your feedback mommies. What should I do ?
Should I just stick to the current school or change him to the islamic centre one ?

if he enjoys the now school, he shud be fine.
islamic subjects u bley cari add-ons in between. like, antar kelas mengaji and such.

hehe..ntah la saya blom berpengalaman.
my son pun skrg still fulltime-housekid.

I thought smart reader ada islamic studies jugak? ke different centre different subjects? the one nearby our house ada. But not sure what they teach. I'm registering Naim for next year.

The current tadika ada subject agama but when i flipped through their homework, cuma belajar letters itupun jawi. So ada 'nya', 'cha'. Ada sekejap belajar pasal nabi tapi cikgu berhenti tgh jalan.

Kalau bab ngaji, I old fashion sikit. Nak suruh diorg belajar one to one. Kalau belajar ramai2 rasa macam tak puas pulak. Ada pulak neighbour yang suka mengajar bebudak. Alhamdulillah diorg dah start Iqra'.

Tapi kalau ada KAFA or islamic kindy yang bagus... why not? Yang dekat my area ni, i tengok suasana dalam rumah/kindy tuh macam kureng menariks. Kotor pulak tu.. isk. Tak banyak subject pun.

Salsabilla yang Kak Lisa and Famy dok hantar tuh bagus I rasa. Lengkap segala. I rasa, you mesti jugak cari jalan biar dapat belajar ngaji. Tanya Adam dia nak pindah sekolah tak. Kalau ada sekolah lain.. go ahead. Tak kiasu lah.. yang untung anak kita juga.

ehh i pun kiasu gak sometimes..tapi look it at + way..why not u ask around for good islamic school, maybe your neigbors boleh recommend..kalau takde good islamic school, ask them to recommend ustaz/ustazah yang boleh ajar what you think should be learnt by Danial at his age...

next year, Nael pun nak kena hantar pie tadika, tgh decide to go to x or y tadika..both tadika ada add on subjects (inclusive iqra') cuma sediakan duit jer lah :P

rotidua : i think ikut area and principal jugak. sebab sm@rt re@der dekat putr@jay@ mostly ada islamic studies ni...i dah hint dekat danial actually (adam is the younger bro) he seems not very interested.

zan : i dont want to be kiasu sebab my danial suka sgt his current skool. he has lots of friends, ada few boys are his best friends...and he is always looking forward to meet them/go to school. in fact one of the boys is my neighbour. if he goes to a new school dia kena start all over again, familiarise with the environment and all...and kesian jugak dekat dia..after all HE is the one who is going to school isnt it...that is why i kalau bule nak make sure he want to go to school because he LOVES it, not because MOMMY SAID SO...hee hee :) nanti i nak pegi check out sekola tu sendiri, and we'll decide tengok la nanti.

kalau ada a real good islamic kindy then why not? cuma masalah I is the "Islamic" kindies kat rumah I dulu tak best. selekeh dengan pembantu yang garang-garang. Approach yang lapuk dan syllables yang tak best. why ah?

hmm i have yet to survey the new school i plan to transfer for danial.
oo i know what you mean. i guess the teachers malas nak keep themselves up-to-date with the current syllabus kut... or the principle/management school sendiri couldnt be bothered. just my 2 cents

kalau bab mengaji ni best kalau one-to-one. camtu pun cara Nabi belajar Al-Quran dengan Jibreel. more focus. kat rumah pun boleh start baca Iqra'/Quran lepas Maghrib tu. tak ambik masa yang banyak pun.

I pun sama macam nina, kalau mengaji kalau boleh nak one to one..kalau tak sempat nak ajar sendiri, cari orang ajarkan..dulu anak I belajar ngaji kat sekolah lepas tu I tak puas hati sebab tak ada progress pun at last both of us ajar sendiri, puas hati..tapi kalau subject pendidikan islam ni kalau boleh biarlah dari kecik kita introduce kan..kat situ tak ada little caliph?

little caliph kat sini quite far. yg ada children islamic centre la. oh i just found out the current school nak introduce jawi and pendidikan islam by next yr.

i will try to allocate time to ajar danial. kalau tak leh.tak larat suruh hubby la kut...
